How do I know what is healthy to eat in this world of conflicting nutrition advice?

That is a great question! For me the issues of what to eat are as much about portion control as content. We tend to eat more of the stuff that we like and that isn't a good idea.
Even though I know the rules, I find it difficult to stick with them. Bad Habits are hard to break and good habits are hard to adapt.
But I know when I make the effort to do the right thing, I feel better. Sigh....
And exercise is crucial to the mix. Can anyone recommend some good recipes?
In reference to your comment on making the effort and feeling better, I would like to expand on that point. The rewards for eating healthy and being active most of the time, are plentiful. The good news is practicing healthy behavior does not have to be all or nothing. There is room for dessert. Speaking of dessert, Cooking Light magazine is a great reference for recipes, health, exercise and more.

I have quite a few friends who don't like to cook. What recommendations are there for what they can eat and prepare?
